Museum of Design in Moscow competition

In the framework of the Concept for Design Museum competition, the architects had to think about how the building of the future Moscow Design Museum would look. The organizers of the competition did not limit the competition participants — neither by location of the object, nor by scale, nor by technical and budget parameters.

The participants had to present provocative, bright, unusual concepts. The architects of MAParchitects have proposed to place the museum on the territory of the former Rossiya hotel. Against its background and among historical buildings and architectural monuments, the future museum looks futuristic, as if it were a spaceship that landed on Red Square.

The conceptual design has entered the shortlist of the competition.
